FR 282 "Finest Known Porthole" PCGS 67PPQ
FR 282 US $5 1923 SILVER CERTIFICATE PCGS 67PPQ “PORTHOLE” FINEST KNOWN both co’s!
This Finest Known (by both grading co’s) has the margins of a 68PPQ with comfort! The paper has a nice white color with dark rich black inks and deep blues as well. The corners are razor sharp and there’s a nice original wave to the paper (not flat as many are). The centering on the back, again, 68PPQ Levels, about as perfect as you could ever ask for. This single Friedberg #, highly sought after for ALL collections (and Lincoln collectors alike) will be a pinnacle for any advanced collection! Our research shows a couple selling (same grades) in April 2008 for $26,450 and in April 2014 for $21,150, there was one lower priced sale (but the note has serious issues). This note type is a true classic in every sense of the word, but most importantly, margins, margins, margins (centering)!!!
